Chasing Life is about to air its first season finale, and it'll likely be a dramtically heavy episode when April loses herself.

Leo Experiences 'New Opportunities'

On Tuesday, TV Line posted an interview with Italia Ricci (April) who dished on what's to come. Unfortunately, her character might not be as strong as she wants to be since she checked herself into chemo.

"You'll see her fall apart physically, emotionally and evn psychologically," Ricci said.

April's Emotional Dream Chatter

"She thinks she knows what to expect, and she thinks she's surrounded herself with the people and the knowledge she needs to get through this- but she is wrong," the actress added. "She starts to realize that she's a little bit less tough than she thought. It's a real upper, this finale."

While April will have her own sickness to worry about, she's also going to have to deal with hurting Dominic. As much as he wants to help her, it's going to be a challenge since he's pretty much the last person to know what's been going on with her.

"He wants to be there for her, but as she explains everything to him, he realizes how long she's been keeping this a secret," Ricci said. "A lot has been going on without him knowing, so he has to deal with that. And April also realizes she made a mistake by making him, essentially, one of the last people to find out."

The actress then said that the ending's cliffhanger will be "life or death."

Chasing Life airs on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC Family.
