On August 12, The Gaslight Anthem released their new indie/alternative album Get Hurt to audiences everywhere.

Bruce Springsteen Grabs Top Spot In Britain's Album Chart

The four piece out of New Brunswick, N.J. is most notable for their song The '59 Sound, which earned them touring rights with Bruce Springsteen. The rock legend even joined the stage of The Gaslight Anthem to help sing the song. The song was released in 2008 and received radio play and was well received by critics.

The new album, Get Hurt (Island) is as anthemic as ever. Singer Brian Fallon sounds a little deeper in his vocal approach, but his voice is still the same charming voice from six years ago, when The '59 Sound was released. The band showcased the new album to a handful of people by invitation in New Jersey, and The Wall Street Journal, one of the invitees, applauded the new album.

The album starts out with the song Stay Vicious and features heavier melodies but is still approachable. The soothing chorus can have any person singing those swooning "la la la-la-la la's" with joy. The lead single Get Hurt is still the same Springsteen envisioned rock n' roll hit that the band knows how to create so well. For fans of Bruce Springsteen, make sure to listen to the last song on the album, Anywhere I Lay My Head for the heartfelt ballad to close the album.

Make sure to check the band on their upcoming tour across America, and fall in love with modern rock n' roll.
