Francesca Rises As "Bloodthirsty And Dangerous' Foe On 'The Originals'
On Wednesday TVLine announced that Colin Woodell will be taking up residence on the series as Aiden, a lieutenant in a dominant werewolf pack, suggesting that he'll be a high ranking remember of Francesca's (Peta Sergeant) werewolf army.
Previously the actor portrayed Ethan Sinclair on Lifetime's Devious Maids. He will be joining The Wire's Sonja Sohn and Teen Wolf's Daniel Sharman as one of the latest television actors recruited to the series.
It's 'No Good To Be A Vampire' These Days On 'The Originals'
In the process of forming "dangerous alliances", Aiden will be working with the witches to protect those closest to him. Appearing first in Episode 4, TVLine indicates that he won't be joining the cast for good. With the show's track record so far, Klaus' sister Rebekah (Claire Holt) is the only one who managed to leave New Orleans alive during Season 1, and even then she only did so with her brother's blessing.
Aiden could be a causality of the war for New Orleans, but if Season 1 is any indicator, showrunners might opt to save some of the major bloodshed for the end of the season, meaning Woodell will have plenty of time to make his mark on the show before his character enters any real danger.
The Originals returns to The CW for a second season on Monday, October 6 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
