As filming for season 3 of Arrow is currently underway, the main villain for the CW series was recently revealed.

Title For Episode 4 Of Season 3 Of Arrow Revealed

While a bunch of villains for season 3 have been announced, Oliver Queen's (Stephen Amell) arch enemy for the next chapter was under speculation. The equivalent of Slade in season 3 will be Ra's Al Ghul according to a recent TVGuide report.

The rumors of Ra's Al Ghul even being featured in the next season had begun in July. Speaking with comedian Neal Adams, on a Fat Man on Batman podcast Kevin Smith dished on the possibility of the villain making an appearance. When Adam's brought Ghul up suggesting that it was being rumored that he might stop by Arrow's third season, Smith responded in the affirmative, saying, "Yeah, I've heard. They were casting like six months ago."

Adams also went on to tease fans with some insider information he seemed to have, and suggested that Ghul's avatar on Arrow might even beat the version fans have seen in Christopher Nolan't Batman films.

Two other reckonable villains have been also been revealed. Malcolm Merlyn will return and wreack havoc as the Dark Archer. Recently, TVLine revealed that Peter Stormare, who starred in the film adaptation ofFargo, will be portraying Werner Zytle, who is the alias of Count Vertigo in DC Comics' New 52s. Zytle would replace the Count (Seth Gabel), who died at the hands of Oliver in season 2. Zytle will taken on the role of playing the new peddler for Vertigo. He will also be the first antagonist for the Arrow team in season 3.

The finale of season 2 of Arrow aired on May 14 on the CW. Season 3 premieres on October 8 on The CW.
