Ant-Man production is underway, but a set of rumors have surfaced about the script that hints at possible links to the already established Marvel Cinematic Universe and some of the people behind it.

Latino-Review talked about an early draft of the script on Thursday and broke down a few names that they saw that could imply a direct link to S.H.I.E.L.D. and the rest of the Marvel movies.

According to the site, Peggy Carter, Howard Stark, Armin Zola and a young Alexander Pierce meet with a young version of Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) during a first act prologue. Pierce was portrayed by Robert Redford in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and ended up as the bad guy and perished.

Production Starts For Marvel's 'Ant-Man,' Includes Local Casting Call

Latino-Review speculates that the scene will play as a kind-of tie-in to the Agent Carter series that Marvel is working on at ABC and each of these characters could be set to appear in the show as well. Carter, of course, is portrayed by Hayley Atwell, Dominic Cooper played Stark in Captain America and Zola is played by Toby Jones in both Captain America movies.

The publication added that "Adam McKay did a pass on the script while Andrew Barrer and Gabriel Ferrari are currently on set doing production rewrites. My money says the scene is still in there and it wouldn't surprise me if we see a Young Alexander Pierce in Agent Carter first."

In pure speculation, one has to wonder if this was one of the straws that broke the camel's back with Edgar Wright. Wright came back to Marvel early this year to begin work on Ant-Man and it would seem they proposed this to him and wasn't having it. While the scene most likely isn't bad, it probably was unnecessary to Wright's plot and was a factor in his decision to exit.

Ant-Man opens in theaters on July 17, 2015 and is directed by Peyton Reed.
