Paris Jackson Tweet About Missing Grandmother Sparks 'Madness': Authorities say Katherine Jackson Safe
Paris Jackson, the only daughter of the late Michael Jackson, tweeted on Sunday that her grandmother Katherine Jackson (the mother of the King of Pop) had disappeared.
The tweet sparked madness on social networks but on Sunday police reported that they believed Katherine Jackson,82 is safe in Arizona with family members after she was reported missing, according to the Associated Press.
Paris' uncle Jermaine Jackson said Sunday evening that he would be issuing a statement shortly to end "this wildfire of madness."
Paris wrote earlier:
"Yes, my grandmother is missing...I haven't spoken with her in a week. I want her home now," Paris tweeted Sunday morning.
"If anybody sees my grandmother, please call the authorities or this number 818-876-01-86 it's the security number...thank you so much," the girl added on Twitter.
Mrs. Jackson's attorney also talked about her disappearance.
"First of all, let's hope that this is all just a big misunderstanding and a totally benign situation," her attorney Perry Sanders Jr. said Sunday, according to AP. "Assuming that she did actually leave on doctor's orders, no matter which doctor, it has certainly created an absolutely irregular situation whereby she has been out of contact with her grandchildren."
