'X-Men: Apocalypse' Rumors: Leaked Image Shows Wolverine's Costume Will Look More Traditional, Include Original Yellow & Blue Design [VIDEO]
With Hugh Jackman gearing up to star in his seventh X-Men movie, it looks like the actor could be taking the character to a more traditional look with the possible leaked costume from the upcoming movie.
Could Magneto Become The New Leader Of The X-Men In 'Apocalypse?'
Future of Marvel shared a photo on Facebook that has been reported to be the costume for Jackman's Wolverine in X-Men: Apocalypse. The costume shares a striking resemblance to the outfit that the hero wears in the comics and television programs with the classic yellow and blue color scheme and pointed mask.
It would be curious to finally get around to having Jackman wear this costume after he has carved out his own look over the years in the role, using his haircut as a more Wolverine-type look. But having the hero somewhat reset in the past after Days of Future Past, it could mean the classic Wolverine could finally be making an appearance.
The costume was first seen during a deleted scene for The Wolverine, which worked as an alternate ending. In the scene, Yukio (Rila Fukushima) and Wolverine are about to leave Japan and she gives him a container and tells him to open it. Inside the container is the classic costume, which Wolverine smirks at.
It hasn't been confirmed yet if the costume will be used in Apocalypse, but having a scene during The Wolverine must mean that the X-Men universe was planning on having Wolverine wear it at some point.
X-Men: Apocalypse opens in theaters on May 27, 2016.
