One of the supporting actors on FX's American Horror Story: Coven has turned down a role in AHS: Freak Show in order to appear on Britain's Celebrity Big Brother.

Leslie Jordan, who played Quentin Fleming in Coven, one of the three members of the witches' council, will not be in Freak Show. Instead, he entered the Celebrity Big Brother house in Britain on Monday where he will be staying for up to 28 days depending on how long he lasts.

Jordan was originally slated to appear in four episodes of Freak Show this fall but he was unable to make it work due to his appearance on the reality show, according to DigitalSpy.

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy reportedly wrote a note to Jordan about the scheduling conflict:

"I am a huge fan of yours Leslie, I understand the timing was off on this one, but I will always write you into future projects," Murphy said.

Jordan quipped: "When I read that note, I almost s-- and fell back in it."

In addition to Coven, Jordan is most recognized as scene stealer Beverley Leslie in NBC's Will & Grace, for which he won a Guest Actor Emmy.

American Horror Story: Freak Show takes place in 1952 and centers on one of the last remaining freak shows in America, living in Jupiter, Fla. Jessica Lange plays the freak show owner while Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, Evan Peters and Frances Conroy will be playing various "freaks."

American Horror Story: Freak Show is set to premiere Wednesday, October 8 on FX.
