Eminem News: 'Slim Shady' Uncaged By Rihanna In 'Monster' Tour; Featured In Denzel Washington 'Equalizer' Trailer [VIDEO]
Eminem and Rihanna continue their Monster tour, bringing New York a glimpse at the dark side of love this last weekend.
Twitter Fans Are Excited For Eminem And Rihanna's Monster Tour
The New York Daily News reported about the tour yesterday, giving an insight into who the two stars react on stage. The two have been depicting each other as lovers, but instead of showing the lighter side, embrace the dark paths of love as laid out in their lyrics. Love The Way You Lie was the first time the two collaborated, and the contents of the track fueled their offsetting chemistry into more collaborations.
The New York Post noted about the shows that it began with a clip of Rihanna visiting Slim Shady in a prison cell, much like this scene from The Silence of the Lambs. The reference is dark, given the relationship Hannibal Lecter had with Clarice Starling. In terms of actually letting out the monster, Rihanna and Eminem seem to be doing a stellar job. The Monster is the song collaboration that sparked the tour, and it peaked at number one on the Billboards charts. It still is on the charts, last week it was ranked at number 49.
