The extent of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has spread far and wide, but Big Brother fans may not have expected the show's usually proper host to get in on it as well.

Big Brother host Julie Chen was nominated by her husband/CBS president Les Moonves to participate in the Ice Bucket Challenge. In the challenge, the nominated person must either donate $100 to the ALS charity of their choice or pour a bucket of ice water over their heads while donating $10.

Thursday night, during the live eviction episode of Big Brother 16, Chen chose the latter and had a little help from another member of the CBS family, Will Arnett of The Millers. Arnett proceeded to pour the ice water over Chen's head, utterly drenching her as she laughed it off and closed out the show.

Before participating in the challenge, Chen nominated every single Big Brother houseguest who has ever been in the house, which totals 179 people, not including the ones in the house currently.

It was an eventual night in the Big Brother house as troublemaker Zach Rance was evicted from the house by a unanimous vote. However, he was given the opportunity to get back into the game along with the three other jury members, Jocasta Odom, Hayden Voss and Nicole Franzel.

The competition ended with Franzel winning, allowing her to return to the house to compete again for the $500,000 prize.

Big Brother 16 airs Sundays, Wednesdays and Thursdays on CBS.
