Katie Holmes just moved back to the west coast.

The Giver actress, 35, reportedly left New York City with her daughter, Suri, and settled into a home in Calabasas, Calif, according to TMZ. The area is filled with other celebrities, including Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian as well as Toni Braxton and Mitch Richmond.

Holmes' move into the 6,000 square foot house, worth $3,795,000, was reportedly top secret. Anyone who violated it would have to pay a $1 million fine.

Holmes moved to the Big Apple two years ago, after she divorced Suri's father, actor Tom Cruise. The brunette decided that California is more suitable to raise her 8-year-old daughter. She also has plans to focus on her Hollywood career, which picked up after her divorce.

The star's fame skyrocketed during her marriage to one of Hollywood's most famous actors. But, it wasn't because of her career. In fact, when she was married to Cruise, her movie career went sour. However, during a new interview with DuJour magazine, Holmes said her relationship had nothing to do with the status of her career.

"It's the life of an actor," Holmes said. "We don't really have a lot of choice in the matter. You have dry spells, and then you have times when there is a lot of opportunity."

During Holmes' recent appearance on the Today show, Anchor Matt Lauer indirectly asked Holmes about her high-profile marriage. He asked if the former Dawson's Creek star would trade some of the fame she gained during her relationship and go back to her life before.

"I never really look back," she replied. "I take it one day at a time and I'm really excited about where I am right now... I'm just excited about the future."
