Captain Hook (Colin O'Donoghue) and Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) have not had the best relationship over the years to say the least, and that will continue into Season 4. Once Upon a Time executive producer Adam Horowitz spoke with Entertainment Weekly recently and said that the conflict would resume again.
"Hook and Rumplestiltskin have a very long history that is blood-riddled and difficult that has been put aside for a little while due to circumstance," Horowitz noted. "But now that circumstances have changed, that past history is going to rear its head again."

As Once Upon a Time fans know, in this universe, Rumplestiltskin was the one who wound up slashing off Hook's hand, giving him his moniker. Hook was also almost drowned by Rumple/Mr. Gold under the direction of Zelena (Rebecca Mader) in the most recent season.
Meanwhile, Hook and Rumple will be dealing with the women in their lives as well. Hook will be trying to continue with his complicated relationship with Emma (Jennifer Morrison) while Rumple and Belle (Emilie de Ravin) are living in marital bliss.
"We pick up from where we left off at the end of last season, and Hook really wants this relationship to work out, so he'll try and make that happen," O'Donoghue revealed to TVLine previously.
Carlyle, on the other hand, previously said that Rumple and Belle will be happy "maybe in the first episode, but then that's it."
Once Upon a Time returns for Season 4 on Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
