While Marvel seems willing to try different things with their newer movies, it seems like one of their more recent movies could be going back in time for the first time since the first Captain America.

More Set Photos, First Look at Evangeline Lilly Emerge From Marvel's 'Ant-Man'

On Friday, CinemaBlend broke down the set photos that were released for Ant-Man and speculated that the movie could be taking place in an earlier timeline, around the same time as The Incredible Hulk.

The site used a screen grab from ScreenCrush and broke down the photo of Scott Lang (Paul Rudd). "Paul Rudd walking around San Francisco on set this week. In the foreground, he looks as handsome as ever, but in the background, there's something far more interesting: a poster for Pingo Doce soda. You remember, Pingo Doce soda. From The Incredible Hulk..."

The three explanations for the poster are it being a small detail that is more of a callback than anything that could effect the plot. The other is that the film runs during the time of The Incredible Hulk and it could mean a small cameo by Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner and link Lang to the current members of the Avengers.

The last explanation was that the film takes place even before The Incredible Hulk and this movie could be a segway from the events prior to most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to what is the current state. That would explain the rumored scene that has Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) talking with some of the founding members of S.H.I.E.L.D.

This could be an interesting move for the franchise as it would allow fans to gain some information on what happened between Captain America and Phase 1, leading into Phase 2.

Ant-Man is set to open in theaters on July 17, 2015.
