Boardwalk Empire will officially kick off its fifth and final season on HBO in just two weeks.

'Boardwalk Empire' Production Crew Spotted At Historic Alder Manor

On Sunday night HBO premiered the latest trailer for the prohibition drama just before the True Blood series finale, ensuring maximum viewership.

"There's no sense looking back," declares Nucky Thompson (Steve Buscemi) in the trailer, though the flashback sequences dipping into Nucky's childhood will prove that wanting to forget and actually forgetting are not the same thing.

The trailer does pack a lot of punch in just 30 seconds, hinting at a calculating Margaret Schroeder (Kelly Macdonald), viciously charismatic Al Capone (Stephen Graham), and a "wanted man" in Chalky White (Michael K. Williams).

Nucky's final line in the trailer mirrors his infamous threat during many of the promotions for Season 1. "I will not rest until I see you in your graves," he declares gravely into a telephone, which is remarkably similar to the Season 1 scene. "You want to see how I do business?" he warned Arnold Rothstein (Michael Stuhlbarg) at the height of their feud, "Show your face again in Atlantic City."

Surely Nucky has come a long way from being "half a gangster" in Season 1 to a full fledged criminal in Season 4, and the final moments of the new trailer remind viewers, "NO ONE GOES QUIETLY."

Boardwalk Empire returns to HBO for its fifth and final season Sunday, September 7 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
