It looks as though Maddie Ziegler is having a year to remember as she's been rubbing elbows nonstop with the music industry's elite. The 11-year-old Dance Moms star shared a selfie she took with chart topper Katy Perry while the two were at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday evening.

In the photo, both ladies are smiling in the black-and-white photo, with Perry holding Ziegler's camera phone. The dancer captioned the pic with, "Love her!!"

This is not Ziegler's first encounter with a mega pop star this year. Earlier this summer, Ziegler admitted that Australian singer Sia was "starstruck" when she met her while filming her hit music video for Chandelier.

Ziegler told Vulture: "The first day I met her, she just came up and gave me a giant hug and said, 'I can't believe I'm with you right now! I'm such a big fan.' It was just so funny because she's a really big star and really successful singer and everything, and I couldn't believe that she was fan-girling over me."

As far as how she landed the role in her new video, Maddie says that Sia reached out to the show via social media. She said, "Sia was a fan of our show. She actually tweeted us, "Hey, Maddie, would you like to be in my new video for my new song Chandelier? I was just like, whoa, this is pretty cool."
