'House of Cards' News: Netflix Show Responds To Emmy Rejection With Spoof Featuring Doug Stamper [VIDEO]
House of Cards won one insignificant award at the 2014 Emmys but the Netflix series is not playing sore loser, instead the writers applied their wit for a funny response to not winning Outstanding Drama Series.

In the spoof, Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly), is shown making an important call from the White House to the Academy's offices. "And you can confirm that," he says, "We lost for best drama series."
"Get Jim from the academy on the phone," he adds.

Once Jim is on the line, he sternly states: "Hi Jim, it's Doug Stamper, I thought we had a deal."
House of Cards show creator Beau Willimon had also posted photos on Twitter from the Emmys night on August 25, featuring Kate Mara and Kelly.
The director and cast members looked very spirited and posed goofily for some shots. Most of the images are selfies.
Although, the Netflix series was nominated in the bunch of categories, the show didn't won only one award. The show was nominated in some of the major categories like outstanding drama series, outstanding directing for a drama series, outstanding lead actor in a drama series, outstanding lead actress in a drama series.
Mara was nominated for her role as Zoe Barnes in outstanding guest actress in a drama series.
The show took away the Emmy for outstanding sound mixing for a comedy or drama series.
Willimon took the evenings non-wins in a good spirit and also congratulated Breaking Bad for winning a bunch of awards, via Twitter.
