'Penny Dreadful' Season 2 Premiere: Showtime Series In For A Snowy Winter, Aisha Tyler's Visit To The Set Could Suggest Upcoming Cameo [PHOTOS, VIDEO]
Aisha Tyler boasted being a major fan of Showtime's Penny Dreadful back when she moderated the show's San Diego Comic Con panel back in July. Now it seems The CW's Whose Line Is It Anyway? host and former Friends guest-star has taken a visit to the set.
'Penny Dreadful' Gets A 'Posh' New Set For Season 2
"Just had the best visit with our #1 #Dreadfuls aaishatyler. We love her!" tweeted Penny Dreadful producer Christopher King on Friday. The producer also included a pic of he and Tyler together on the set.
Was Tyler's visit more than just a visit? Could she be angling for a role on the supernatural Victorian drama?
Things Get 'Horrifying' On & Off The Set For Season 2 Of Showtime's Penny Dreadful
Neither King or Tyler were dropping any hints. If Tyler was on set to film a guest spot, however, it will likely appear in one of season two's earlier episodes. Production began early this moth for the season premiere, entitled "Fresh Hell".
Like King, director James Hawes has also been sharing some pics from the set. On Friday Hawes revealed that Penny Dreadful will be experiencing some winter weather in upcoming episodes.
"Harry the 1st and Owen the DoP testing the texture of snow, in Dublin, in August #PennyDreadful," tweeted Hawes along with a pic of the pair pretending to shiver under a flurry of snow.
Costume fittings, set dressing, and casting for protethics are already completed for the new episodes, which boast new characters, violence, and secrets to come.
Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second season in 2015.
