'Black Panther' Movie News: Stan Lee Announces That The Hero Will Show Up After 'Ant-Man' & 'Doctor Strange,' Should Have 'Avengers 2' Tease [VIDEO]
While names like Black Panther and Ms. Marvel have been teased for a while as possibilities for solo movies, it seems like one of those could finally be having that goal.
Marvel Is Doing Work On A 'Black Panther' Movie
At the Fan Expo Canada, Stan Lee revealed that Marvel has plans to be making a Black Panther movie following Ant-Man and Doctor Strange. The comic legend was addressing the rumors that Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow would get her own movie when he teased the news.
"The chances are she will have her own movie because eventually all the superheroes are going to have their own movies. They are already working on Ant-Man, Doctor Strange and the Black Panther and there are others I am not allowed to talk about," Lee said.
'Black Panther' Could Make A Cameo In 'Age Of Ultron'
It is interesting to see that Marvel is planning the movie so soon with Ant-Man coming out late summer next year and Doctor Strange coming out at some point in 2016. This could be a 2017 release date or even late 2016 date for Black Panther is possible.
It also seems like Marvel is set to tease fans on the character in their next movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron, when the villain goes to the character's country of Wakanda to gain some more supplies during the movie. This could open up the possibility that Marvel reveals the character during the movie or as a post credits tease with the actor being revealed.
Star Wars actor John Boyega and 42 star Chadwick Boseman are two names more closely linked to the movie so either of those actors could show up in Age of Ultron.
