‘Major Crimes’ News: Season 3 Brings ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Star To Play Lt. Flynn’s Daughter [VIDEO]
Major Crimes fans knew she was coming, but now a Pretty Little Liars star has been revealed as Lt. Flynn's (Tony Denison) daughter.

Pretty Little Liars star Torrey DeVitto, who plays Melissa on the show, has been cast as Lt. Flynn's daughter, Nicole TV Line reported on Tuesday. DeVitto will appear in the episode called "Acting Out" and it's set to air on Dec. 8.
She is described by the site as "professional, endearing" and wielding "a touch of Flynn's edge and sense of humor." Dension had recently said that this daughter may his character and Sharon Raydor (Mary McDonnell) closer together.

"I was told that when the character playing my daughter shows up that there might be more of Flynn going to Sharon as an ally to help with that and dealing with whatever it is, but I don't know what it is," Denison told MajorCrimesTV about the "Shandy" relationship. "But whatever it is will probably just serve to draw us closer together."
Series creator James Duffy had previously told TV Line, "[Andy and Sharon] are not dating, at least not yet. But Flynn's daughter thinks they are. So when she comes to work to have a discussion with Sharon about a problem in her life, it becomes a paranoid freak-out time for Flynn."
In addition to Pretty Little Liars, DeVitto has also been featured on The Vampire Diaries and One Tree Hill.
