'Jurassic Park 4' News: Details About 'Jurassic World' DVD Release, Merchandise & Lego Game Revealed [VIDEO]
Details about the Jurassic World DVD release, merchandise, and Lego game were revealed on September 2.
Jurassic World To Pay Tribute To John Hammond From Original
The DVD for the movie is expected to be out by November 10, 2015. But the more exciting development for fans might be the fact that a Lego video game based on the movie is in the works.
Other promotional information was also revealed like the fact that there will be a T-Rex statue at Times Square courtesy New York's Toys R Us right before the movie is set to hit theaters. Trailers and TV spots of the movie will be tied in with big events like the Kid's Choice Awards and Superbowl.
Jurassic World Will Address How "Society Has Changed Since The Original Came Out"
Jurassic World has been directed by Colin Trevorrow and stars Chris Pratt, Jake Johnson and Bryce Dallas Howard.
On August 5, director Colin Trevorrow announced it was officially a wrap and that Jurassic World was done filming with a shot -- featuring the clapboard in the jaws of a T-Rex -- from the set via his Twitter account.
Fans have only had a glimpse at the movie through stills and pictures from set that have been revealed until now.
The Jurassic Park films are based on Michael Crichton's series of novels about pre-historic beasts being revived by revolutionary gene technology. Frank Marshall and Pat Crowley are co-producing the film alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two installments in the franchise. Irrfan Khan and Ty Simpkins also star in the movie.
The film will hit theaters on June 12, 2015.
