Reeve Carney has offically arrived on set for the second season of Showtime's Penny Dreadful.

New Photos From The Set Of 'Penny Dreadful' Season 2

While Carney's character of Dorian Gray didn't really develop a significant place for himself until the second half of Season 1, it looks like the infamous literary icon will hit the ground running in the 2015 premiere, entitled Fresh Hell.

"Her's baaaaack!" tweeted producer Christopher King ecstatically on Wednesday. "Clearly We're very excited to have Dorian Gray @reevecarney back for #PennyDreadful Season2."

'Penny Dreadful' Is In For A Snowy Winter

Of course the reunion would not be complete without a photo, which King happily provided. The photo shows the pair laughing with their arms around one another in a parking lot, Carney donning a pair of sunglasses and a brown sweater as he holds a cup of coffee in his free hand.

According to director James Hawes on Twitter Thursday, actors began arriving for costume fittings last week. This means either Carney is next in line, or the star is about to film his first scenes for the new season.

Back in July, Carney attended San Diego Comic-Con along with series creator John Logan and co-stars Josh Hartnett (Ethan Chandler) and Harry Treadaway (Victor Frankenstein). At the time the cast had yet to receive the scripts for the season premiere, but now that the wave of interviews are done the actors have been able to dive into the new material. Spoilers are still few and far between, but King's photos from the set have allowed fans to piece together some possibilities.
