The former soldier and the Twelfth Doctor won't see eye-to-eye as season 8 progresses, but their lives will undoubtedly become entwined as Danny (Samuel Anderson) finds his way into Clara's (Jenna Louise Coleman) life. When the two do come face-to-face, is seems as if their battling intellects will be the cause of their rift.

Unsurprisingly, the pair's stance on war will also cause a few problems. As the Doctor reiterated in "Into the Dalek," he isn't a fan of soldiers. Hopefully Danny will have some pretty strong reasons why he is no longer in the service, enough to redeem himself in the Doctor's eyes.

"Danny is an ex-soldier and he's an ex-soldier for a reason," Anderson said, according to Hero Complex "The Doctor isn't sure about that when they first meet... He's a bit of an opposite to the Doctor."
