With rumors of who will show up in the next X-Men movie swirling around, the film decided to set a date for production to commence, which could mean the rumors are put to rest sometime very soon as to who the Four Horsemen will be as well as who is playing the main villain.

Wolverine Could Be Re-Branded As Weapon X In 'X-Men Apocalypse'

According to Screen Rant on Thursday, X-Men Apocalypse will begin shooting in Montreal in April 2015. The site added that set production will begin in December as this schedule mimics what the studio did for Days of Future Past.

This is similar to the production schedule set for Captain America 3, which is set to come out on May 6, 2016 and will begin shooting in April as well.

The amount of time will allow for director Bryan Singer and writer Simon Kinberg to assemble what they have called an even bigger cast than Days of Future Past that could include another return of some older characters with younger versions of the same people.

With shooting commencing in early 2015, it would make sense that news of who would be playing the villains could be coming soon with the roles of the Four Horsemen and Apocalypse being the most watched casting choices. Apocalypse was shown in younger form during a post-credits scene for Days of Future Past.

X-Men: Apocalypse is set to bring back Singer as director with Kinberg coming back to write the script. As of now Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Hugh Jackman, Evan Peters, and Nicholas Hoult are the only actors returning.
