Following the murder of James Foley and Steven Sotloff, the iconic sci-fi series has opted to edit out a beheading sequence from the third episode of season 8, according to the Radio Times. The original scene was intended to air as part of a battle between Robin Hood (Tom Riley) and the Sheriff of Nottingham (Ben Miller) but was deemed to sensitive for current times.

"In light of recent news events, we have made an edit to episode three out of respect," a spokeswoman told Radio Times.

This is not the first edit the series has had to make this season. In areas such as Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, and Singapore, Doctor Who was forced to cut Madam Vastra and Jenny's lifesaving kiss from "Deep Breath" due to MDA regulations, according to Fashion & Style.
