Liberty Ross Had a Solitary Life With Rupert Sanders
British model Liberty Ross opened up about her relationship with husband director Rupert Sanders prior to the unveiling of his affair with actress Kristen Stewart.
Two weeks ago, Ross told South Africa's YOU magazine that the couple went through a rocky period when they moved from the U.K. to Los Angeles to pursue his filming career. Sanders directed "Snow White and The Huntsman."
"I romanticised domesticity for a while, and loved having a shopping list of groceries stuck to the fridge for the first time. But moving here (from London to LA) and starting a life all over again was a lot harder than I had anticipated. I just didn't think it would be as isolating and daunting as it turned out to be," Ross told the magazine, according to the Daily Mail.
"I would never say out loud that I am raising my children alone, but a lot of the time it has felt like that. I went from the glamour of working with Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano to living on an isolated hilltop, with my husband gone most of the time," she added.
But she and her husband said they had overcome the hardships.
"That's why everything feels so amazing now. We rode through the really hard times and we stuck it out..."
Sanders admitted he had the affair with Stewart issuing the following statement:
"I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," the director said in a statement. "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."
Since news of the affair broke, Ross - who has been married to Sanders for 10 years and has two children with him - deleted her Twitter account and has no made any comments.
The supermodel and actress starred in "Snow White and The Huntsman" with Stewart.
