The Jason Wu Spring 2015 collection showed Sept. 5 at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in New York City. His line, inspired by "American Sportswear," featured neutral colors, strict lines and plunging necklines.

Wu, who is most known for designing of both of First Lady Michelle Obama’s inaugural gowns, has certainly solidified his place in the industry. Just before his Spring/Summer 2015 line debuted, InterLuxe announced that they would buy majority stake in his company.

In a recent interview, Wu told Womens’ Wear Daily that, “When the new venture came out with InterLuxe as a platform to help designers grow to the next level, I decided after months of talks and discussions that this was the right opportunity for me to take that next step.”

Though his collection did not show at the tents at the monumental Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Lincoln Center location, fashion' smost influential insiders ventured to Spring Studios to see what new designs he had in store. Anna Wintour sat on the front row, as Teen Vogue director Elaine Welteroth and Lucky editor-in-chief Eva Chen watched on as well.

The looks were slouchy, comfortable and chic. Each look ranged in variation of neutral colors like army green and navy to brighter burnt oranges. In the fashion show program, Wu listed the colors in his palette as “Burnt Umber, Basil, Navy, Limestone, and Flame Red.”

The show reflected a modern look on chic femininity and comfortability. Jason Wu's pieces are perfect for Spring, and wearable until Fall. What more could you want?
