Teen Wolf's Derek Hale reached his final form during "Smoke and Mirrors," but the sour wolf wasn't the only supernatural creature to level up as season 2 came to a close.

Kira (Arden Cho) mastered yet another kitsune skill - healing - and series creator Jeff Davis promises that there are plenty other abilities the teen will uncover in the future.

"With Kira and Scott there's a similarity with strength and speed and agility but we have fun with the kitsune myth that kitsunes have an incredibly wide range of powers, from shape shifting to being able to cast spells," Davis explained on Wolf Watch. "Part of what we want to do is choose the right ones for our mythology, so healing is definitely one of them."

So what's next for the young fox? While no one wants to see Kira's stellar fighting skills fall by the wayside, spell casting could certainly come in handy in a pinch. Spells are generally Deaton's (Seth Gilliam) domain, but the emissary/vet tends to have a pretty packed schedule. Kira obtaining a little magic mojo couldn't hurt.
