If anyone thought that Alex and Sierra would break up after they won X Factor USA last year, the two made it clear that their relationship is stronger than ever.

The duo recently appeared on season 2 of Culinary Beats and chatted with Chef Hung Huynh, who won season 3 of Top Chef. The Florida natives revealed how thankful they are to have each other through this chaotic time.

"The longer we are in the music industry, I could see how it could be a really lonely thing to go through yourself," Sierra explained. "So having each other through this entire experience really helps us celebrate the good times and work through the hard times together."

Their relationship even helps when it comes to the writing process. "We like to use a lot of our own personal experiences, a lot of the things that go on with our relationship or sometimes even a friend's relationship," Alex said. "We like to kind of see how we can incorporate that into a song."

The duo will release their debut, It's About Us, on Oct. 7. Alex and Sierra already released several songs from the album including the lead single Scarecrow and the ballad Bumper Cars.
