Country singer Kellie Pickler who was a contestant on the fifth season of "American Idol" in 2006 has sexed up her sweet girl image by posing on the cover of "Maxim" magazine and wearing a pair of Daisy Duke shorts for a new music video.
Pickler appears in fellow season five contestant Bucky Covington's video for his latest single, "Drinking Side Of Country." The video's concept is inspired by the hit 80's television sitcom "Dukes Of Hazzard." Pickler heats things up in the video by impersonating the show's popular character Daisy Duke and wearing a pair of the short-shorts she was known for.
Pickler is being honored in Maxim's "Salute To The Military" issue for her support of America's troops.
The following are excerpts from Pickler's interview with Maxim where she proves she's not as innocent as she appeared to be on "American Idol." Pickler discussed everything from her tattoos, her love of rocker Marilyn Manson and admitting country girls can be trouble.
Her response to why she supports the troops: "I come from a military family. My grandfather is a retired Marine, and I've always had a great deal of respect for anyone who serves our country."
About her tattoos: "So my first tattoo, of course, was my grandma's name. I also have stars on my left arm for my USO tours, but I'm missing two."
What other music she listens to: "Honestly? Marilyn Manson. 'The Dope Show,' 'The Beautiful People.' My friends are like, 'Pickler? Where'd you go? Come back to us!'"
On whether country girls are trouble: "We might be, but we can also con our way out of it. A country girl can talk her way out of a ticket."
