Book About The Making Of The Battle of the Five Armies Being Launched

The Christian Today report doesn't reveal much more about which characters are set to feature. Recently, it was also rumored that unreleased footage from the Lord of the Rings will feature in the final of The Hobbit trilogy.

But it seems like director Peter Jackson's words were misunderstood in an interview he did with GigJets.com. Jackson had stated that "unreleased footage" from the Lord of the Rings will feature as a bonus in new LOTR releases.

A Few Main Characters To Be Killed Off In The Battle of The Five Armies

"There are a few scenes that haven't been seen from Lord of the Rings, but not many. We might try to put them back in," he said. "It's a big logistical thing which hasn't wrapped our heads around. But if there's enough interest [we might]."

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies also features on the cover of the September issue of Empire magazine and director Peter Jackson dished about what fans can expect from the movie in an interview for the story.

A report sourced some of the highlights of the cover story and Jackson's definition of the The Battle of the Five Armies will definitely get fans excited.

"I think of this third movie as a psychological thriller with actions scenes interspersed in the middle of it," he said. "It has for a very tight narrative structure."

To bring out the much anticipated duel between Bard the Bowman, played by Luke Evans, and the dragon Smaug, portrayed by Benedict Cumberbacth, the magazine has two covers. One features the dragon while the other showcases Bard, and the covers are being pitted as "Bard vs. Smaug."

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will hit theaters on December 18.
