'Captain America 3' News: 'Sentinel Of Liberty' Plot Could Be Featured In Next Movie, Would Allow For Possible Cameos New Marvel Characters [VIDEO]
The directors of the next Captain America have spoke a lot about what could be coming in the next installment of the franchise, but could it mean a few appearances by characters that have yet to be mentioned within the Marvel canon?
'Captain America 3' Directors Promise Part Of Movie Will 'Alter The Marvel Universe As A Whole'
MoviePilot speculated on Monday about some possible titles for the next movie and one included "Sentinel of Liberty," a plot line that could mean the appearance of the original Human Torch.
The site said that this comic book storyline involves Nick Fury and Sharon Carter, who was introduced in Winter Soldier, but with minimized role in the film. The Russo brothers most likely will have an augmented role for her in the third film.
Could This Be The Title Of 'Captain America 3?'
While a rather unpopular story arc (as seen by the lack of descriptions online), the story features characters such as Namor and the original Human Torch, who has no affilitiation with the The Fantastic Four, and therefore may even have film rights with Marvel Studios.
They went on to say that it would allow Marvel to cameo more new characters after speculation seems to be wild with the possibilities of new characters, including theory of Black Panther since the Age of Ultron footage shown at Comic-Con reportedly showed a broken Captain America shield, which needs vibranium to fix, a material found only in Black Panther's home of Wakanda.
This storyline would make for an interesting concept and allow new characters to be fleshed out more moving forward.
Captain America 3 is set to open in theaters on May 6, 2016.
