Just when the two actresses seemed to be hitting it off, Charlize Theron is now reportedly furious that Kristen Stewart had an affair with their "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders.

"Charlize is absolutely fuming with Kristen for having an affair with Rupert. She is very tight with [Sanders' wife] Liberty, has often socialized with the family over dinner and cannot believe Kristen has done this," an insider told RadarOnline.

The whole scandal put Theron in an uncomfortable position, since she is good friends with both Stewart and Rupert Sanders' wife, Liberty Ross. The director, 41, and his wife have two children together - Skyla, 7, and Tennyson, 5.

The source also revealed to RadarOnline that Theron became so close to her "Snow White" co-star that she even asked Stewart if she wanted to be her child's godmother.

"When they were filming 'Snow White and the Huntsman,' Charlize felt like an older sister to Kristen, and they were always sharing advice," the source said. Theron also told Access Hollywood, before news broke of the infidelity, that she would "jump off a building" for the "Twilight" actor.

Stewart and Sanders both came out with public apologizes when their affair was first reported on July 24 and photos surfaced of them kissing in a car and holding onto each other.

Ross, a model and actress, had an interview with YOU magazine weeks before finding out about her husband's infidelity. She spoke about her marriage with Sanders and some of the difficulties she had to face turning domestic to raise her children.

'I would never say out loud that I am raising my children alone, but a lot of the time it has felt like that... I went from the glamour of working with Karl Lagerfeld and John Galliano to living on an isolated hilltop, with my husband gone most of the time," she told the magazine, as excerpted by the Daily Mail. "[But] we rode through the really hard times and we stuck it out.
