Fifty Shades Of Grey Movie: Ryan Gosling As Christian Grey Talk
The "50 Shades of Grey" movie adaptation should have several prospects for the lead roles of Christian Grey. However, Hollywood A-lister Ryan Gosling is the one being highly coveted by fans for obvious reasons. But the question remains whether or not the star actor would even take the role if the racy movie stayed true to the book.
Many experts feel as though "White Collars" Matt Bomer or "The Vampire Diaries" Ian Somerhalder would be better suited for the role of Grey over Gosling. Although, it is bleak to say that any of the three would take a role if the sequence stayed completely true to its pornographic-like nature.
In response to the latest fan buzz on the casting process, Producer Dana Brunetti tweeted the following on Monday:
"All of the rumors on #FiftyShades are just that - rumors. No one has been cast in any role. We have to get a writer and director first."
Given its extremely sexual tone, fans are dying to know just how the film would be constructed from a directorial standpoint.
One fan had tweeted the following regarding the extremely mature story:
"50 Shades of Grey, the movie, is on deck. How can they possibly make that movie without it being a full on porn flick?"
Matt Atchity, the Editor in Chief at the highly popular movie review site Rotten Tomatoes, gave his opinion as well.
"You have to go for an R-rating on a book like that - a book about seduction and bondage," Atchity said.
"If they were bold, they would release it with an NC-17 rating, but I don't think they'll do that because some theaters will refuse to show it," the Editor in Chief added.
The creative and casting process for "50 Shades of Grey" will clearly be a strenuous and tedious one.
However, time will tell as to whether the fans get what they truly want; both on the screen and in their characters.
