'Pitch Perfect' & 'Community' Stars Could Be Mary Jane Watson In 'Amazing Spider-Man 3'
Venom is one character that will be spinning off to do his own film with former Amazing Spider-Man writer Alex Kurtzman getting the chance to direct the famous villain. But could the next Spider-Man movie allow the character to get somewhat of an origin and set-up for the solo film?
Having Venom pop up in a Spider-Man movie would probably give fans bad memories of the interpretation of the character from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3, but it would allow the character's origin to connect with Spider-Man some and give an idea of where he is coming from prior to the bad guy having his own film.
How Much Will The 'Sinister Six' Affect The Story In 'Amazing Spider-Man 3?'
It could also possibly have Venom be the main bad guy, especially if he isn't introduced in the Sinister Six movie with the other villains. Having him in the Spider-Man movie would give the hero his one villain and allow the character to fleshed out before diving deeper in the solo movie.
It would also allow for more characters to follow and maybe an appearance by Carnage is ahead.
The Amazing Spider-Man 3 is set to open at some point in 2018.
