'Once Upon a Time' Season 4 Premiere: Elsa Won't Necessarily 'Let It Go,' Despite Many 'Nods' To 'Frozen' [VIDEO]
It remains to be seen if Frozen's Queen Elsa will be touting her famous "let it go" phrase in ABC's Once Upon a Time, though there may be nods to it.

Elsa, who will be played by Georgina Haig in the ABC series, will be entering the show's world in the Season 4 premiere. While there won't be a musical episode for Elsa to sing her anthem Let It Go, series co-creator Adam Horowitz told Entertainment Weekly recently that there will be hints of the phrase.
"There are nods to it, but we haven't yet scripted actually having her say 'Let it go,'" Horowitz revealed.

If and when she does use the phrase, as well as any other nod to Disney's Frozen, the writers will try to make it seem organic.
"We're trying to walk the line between what feels appropriate for our show or inappropriate," Horowitz explained. "What we want to do is make loving nods to the movie and things that are iconic, but we don't want to do it in a way where we're making Elsa say catchphrases for the sake of it. We want it to feel organic to the show and also want [what] gives fans of Frozen payoffs to the thing that they love most. Our hope is that if you watch, you'll see that there are nods to many things from the movie as well."
Horowitz previously told The Hollywood Reporter that they would be trying to integrate the world of Frozen into the series, while not necessarily making it "the Frozen show."
Once Upon a Time is slated to debut its fourth season Sunday, Sept. 28 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
