Some critics may doubt whether or not Longmire will find a new network following A&E's cancellation of the program after three seasons, but for every doubt there is a star from the series preaching hope.

'Longmire' Star Reveals What Makes Cancelled Series So Special

A number of actors from the popular crime drama have taken to Twitter to voice their appreciation for the overwhelming show of support from fans, and on Friday Adam Bartley, who plays Ferg on the program, joined the ranks.

'Twitter Stampede' Organized To Bring Back 'Longmire'

Bartley is not alone. Lou Diamond Phillips (Henry) has been preaching the same "hope" for weeks. Luanne Stephens (Ruby) and Cassidy Freeman (Cady) have also been reposting responses from fans on Twitter.

Longmire had been poised to return, with Season 3 ending on a major cliffhanger. A&E's delay in renewing the show, however, began to make fans nervous and by September the network opted to drop the program.

The reaction from fans was intense. Longmire had, after all, been A&E's top-rated scripted drama and second highest rated series altogether behind the popular Duck Dynasty. It seems advertisers reluctance to back a program which skewed to an older audience ultimately led to the show's fate, prompting a larger discussion of viewership and network television.

If Longmire does return for a fourth season on a new network, it will likely do so during the second half of 2015.
