A new report takes an educated guess at which dwarves will survive the final leg of the epic Hobbit trilogy which will culminate in the fieriest of all battles.

The One Ring predicts which dwarves won't make it in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Tolkien's books are the obvious source material. Other than Thorin, the website nominates Balin, Ori, Oin, Fili and Kili, for the fatal end.
Recently, a striking new tapestry of the action in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies was revealed.

The visuals were exclusively unveiled by Entertainment Weekly and give fans glimpses into various action sequences, and main plot points of the movie. There is the Dragon of Smaug laying siege to Lake Town, which goes up in flames, Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) is seen despairing on his throne, and Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) wears an anxious look on his face. In another bit Galadriel (Cate Blanchett) is seen reaching out to an ailing, possibly dying, Gandalf (Ian McKellen).
The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies also features on the cover of Empire magazine's September issue.
To bring out the much anticipated duel between Bard the Bowman, played by Luke Evans, and the dragon Smaug, portrayed by Benedict Cumberbacth, the magazine has two covers. One features the dragon while the other showcases Bard, and the covers are being pitted as "Bard vs. Smaug."
Director Peter Jackson dished about what fans can expect from the movie in an interview for the cover story.
"I think of this third movie as a psychological thriller with actions scenes interspersed in the middle of it," he said. "It has for a very tight narrative structure."
The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies will hit theaters on December 18.
