'Gotham' TV Show Spoilers: Selina Kyle Being Hunted By Child Trafficking Ring In Episode 2, Penguin Returns To City [VIDEO]
The series premiere of Fox's Gotham aired Monday night, introducing a slew of famous Batman villains, and fans can expect the focus on villains to continue through the series.

Gotham featured hints to several eventual villains in its premiere Monday, including Oswald Cobblepot, who will turn into The Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor), Selina Kyle, who becomes Catwoman (Camren Bicondova), Edward Nygma, who is the future Riddler (Cory Michael Smith) and Ivy Pepper, who is eventually Poison Ivy (Clare Foley).
The second episode of the season is titled Selina Kyle and naturally features the eventual Catwoman who may become victim to a child trafficking ring.

"Detectives Gordon [Ben McKenzie] and Bullock [Donal Logue] investigate a child trafficking ring preying on Gotham's street kids, including Selina Kyle," the synopsis for Episode 2 reads. "Meanwhile, Penguin resurfaces in the countryside and begins to make his way back to Gotham, leaving victims in his wake."
Viewers only saw hints of Selina Kyle in the first episode, featured in the action-packed opening scene that led to her witnessing Bruce Wayne's (David Mazouz) parents being shot and killed. Oswald Cobblepot was heavily featured in the first episode and was last seen emerging from the water and viciously murdering a fisherman.
The third episode of the season is titled The Balloonman and focuses on Oswald's continued rise to power as Detectives Gordon and Bullock track down a villainous Balloon man.
"Detectives Gordon and Bullock track down a vigilante who is killing corrupt Gotham citizens by attaching them to weather balloons," the synapse reads. "Meanwhile, Oswald Cobblepot returns to Gotham and gets a new job close to an influential figure in the underworld."
In the mean time, fans don't have to worry too much about the show going anywhere. Gotham was watched by about 8 million viewers Monday night, receiving a 3.2 in the 18-49 demographic, which is generally considered a success. The show faced steep competition against CBS's The Big Bang Theory, NBC's The Voice and ABC's Dancing With the Stars.
Gotham airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
