Downton Abbey is apparently going to take on a slightly more provocative side when one of the characters shows a little more skin.

Sandra Bullock Rumored To Join 'Downton Abbey?'

On Tuesday, Mirror posted a story from Laura Carmichael who plays Lady Edith on the series. When she spoke to "Now," she revealed that some more of her figure will be viewed in the new season mainly due to what she'll be wearing.

"She has amazing storylines, like the adoption one that continues this series. Her outfits are more glamorous and risque now," Carmichael said. She then added, "You can see calf!"

The actress also talked about her character's relationship with Mary and how there will be some tension going on since both of them have gone through crazy situations.

"[They are] still a little catty," she said.

"Mary obviously doesn't know Edith has gone through this whole pregnancy, so she thinks the reason she's sad is because Michael Gregson, her lover, went missing," Carmichael added.

It also looks like Mary is not going to try to Michael's disappearance a big deal.

"She's like, 'My husband's dead. Get over it,'" Carmichael said.

Michelle Dockery, who plays Mary, revealed to The Independent that her character will be taking on a new turn when it comes to her love life.

"She's toying with the idea of having a relationship with a man that she's not in marriage... she's starting to ask questions, like, 'why can't I be absolutely sure about it before I decide to walk down the aisle with him?'" Dockery said.

Downton Abbey Season 5 is expected to air in the United States in January 2015 on PBS.
