'Longmire' Star Reveals What Makes The Show So Special
Showrunners are still hard at work as they approach new networks for the series, having had meetings with places like Amazon and Netflix. They already have plans for Season 4 should the drama be picked up and based on the Season 3 cliffhanger which aired back in August prior to the program's cancellation, it's likely they've got plenty of material.
Following word that the program had been dropped by A&E, executive producer John Coveny assured fans on Twitter that the fight isn't wasn't over and that they'd began looking for a new place for the series to call home.
"Don't cry. Recover." My wrestling coach was right then and right now. Looking forward to a new home. Stay tuned. #LongLiveLongmire — JOHN COVENY (@JohnCoveny) August 29, 2014
The program's sudden cancellation troubled many fans, who were surprised that A&E had elected to make the decision. Longmire had been the network's top-rated scripted series and its second highest rated program total behind the popular reality show Duck Dynasty.
If Longmire does return for a fourth season on a new network, it will likely do so during the second half of 2015.
