The cast and crew of Penny Dreadful hit the streets of Dublin yesterday as production continued for the Showtime drama's second season.

Producer Shares 'First Day Location' Photo For New 'Penny Dreadful' Episode

While producer Christopher King and director James Hawes have been teasing fans with photos of the fake snow they'd prepped for the premiere, the UK Daily Mail managed to score some photos of Eva Green (Vanessa Ives) filming around the snowy trees on Tuesday.

Wearing a simple yet elegant gray coat and black dress, the actress stood alone, often kneeling in the snow as she filmed her outdoor scene.

The end of Season 1 showed Miss Ives at a crossroads. She'd consulted a priest and was trying to determine whether or not she required an exorcism to rid herself of great darkness, or remain a unique and remarkable woman with deadly potential.

While Green's Tuesday scene seemed to reflect her character's sense of isolation and internal struggle, in between takes cast and crew enjoyed their special little winter by building snowmen and taking in the scenery.

People who passed by on the street often stopped to look, surprised at the oddly placed snow before realizing its cinematic purpose. Another scene was also filming outside yesterday involving a horse and cart, though it is uncertain whether or not that scene is related to the one Green was scene shooting later in the day.

Penny Dreadful returns to Showtime for a second, longer season in 2015.
