Rapper Snoop Dogg was banned from Norway for two years following an incident in June where marijuana was found in his possession as he was entering the country. The "Drop It Like It's Hot" singer was caught by border guards at Kjevik Airport in Kristiansand with eight grams of the illegal drug, according to The Guardian.

He is banned from entering the country until summer of 2014 and also faced a fine which is said to amount to $1,980.13, according to MTV.

The rapper,40, was in the area to perform at Norway's Hove Festival. His lawyer suggested that Dogg will not fight the court's decision, stating on behalf of his client, "[Snoop ] can live with the decision."

Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was also penalized for carrying more cash than legally allowed in Norway, according to BBC. This incident has not been the first time that the rapper has been stopped by officials in regards to drugs.

In January, he was arrested in Texas also by border agents when they found cannabis on his tour bus, a hallucinogenic drug such as hashish and marijuana, the BBC reported. He was later released with a warning. He was also stopped by agents in Sweden four years prior on suspicion of using illegal narcotics.
