Supernatural's 200 th episode will bend the rules almost to the breaking point, but the milestone episode won't send the series off the wheel's completely.

Set to be a "musical-ish" episode, "Fan Fiction" will see Sam and Dean investigate a theater haunting during a performance of Carver Edlund's stories, according to Zap2It. Supernatural has strayed into meta in the past, and the 200th episode will push the envelope farther than normal while keeping it true to Supernatural's roots.

"It's definitely a tip of the hat to the fans and the people that have kept us going for this many years, but I believe - and he agrees with me - that's done in a way that's still in the vein of the show," Ackles said at DallasCon last weekend. "I think as long as we can keep the characters still in the world that we have created for them, then we're still safe even though we bend those rules as far as you can and this is most certainly bending those rules, but they found a very clever way to do it."
