The actor, who retweets messages of fan support on an almost hourly basis, sent out his own declaration on Twitter Wednesday night as the popular series continues to fight for its life.

Fans rallied behind Phillips, citing a number of reasons why they believe the program should be saved. In fact, even Phillips joined in later that night, suggesting he might know a thing or two about what showrunners have planned should the series get a fourth season.

Delighted by the possibilities, fans continued to voice encouragement late into the night.

This past week, producers brought Longmire before Amazon and Netflix, hoping to find the series a new home so that production can begin for new episodes. A&E disappointed fans and cast alike when the network elected not to renew the program after season three ended in August.

If Longmire does return for a fourth season on a new network, it will likely do so during the second half of 2015.
