Singer Tony Martin has died at the age of 98.

Martin died on Friday at his home in West Los Angeles.

"He passed peacefully of natural causes," according to his manager and business partner Stan Schneider.

Martin is best known for his hit songs in the 1950s including "Stranger in Paradise" (1954) "There's No Tomorrow" (1950) and "Walk Hand in Hand" (1956). "To Each His Own," which was released in 1942, sold one million copies.

In the 1950s, Martin had his own television show on NBC, "The Tony Martin Show."

Martin's film career includes appearances in over two dozen films during the 1930s and 1940s. He appeared alongside notable stars such as Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in "Follow The Fleet," with Shirley Temple in "Poor Little Rich Girl" and with the Ritz Brothers in "Kentucky Moonshine." He was signed as a contract actor to both Twentieth Century Fox and MGM, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Martin met his first wife, Alice Faye on the set of "Sally, Irene and Mary." They married in 1937.

In 1948, he married his second wife Cyd Charisse. Charisse was a Hollywood dancer known for her starring roles with Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire in hit films of the era including "Singing in the Rain." Martin was married to Charisse for 60 years until her death in 2008.

Martin will be buried in the same resting place where Charisse is buried near Los Angeles.
