During the big tease for the upcoming season of Survivor, there was a reference to somebody quitting the game and while it did not reveal who it was, there are a few potential candidates after seeing the first episode.

Survivor did something they had never done before at the end of the premiere of Survivor: San Juan del Sur, showing a preview of random clips from the season ahead rather than just the next episode.

One of the more intriguing clips features host Jeff Probst asking, "Officially you're quitting the game?" Another clip shows Probst at one of the tribe's beaches and telling them that they "just lost a member."

As for who the potential quitter could be, there are a few options based on what went down in the premiere.

The clip of Probst asking someone if they're quitting the game is intercut with a scene of Wes Nale crying and nodding slightly. It then cuts to his father Keith Nale saying "I'm glad he's gone." This seems to suggest that Wes is the quitter but this is probably too obvious to actually come true, as they would not want to explicitly give away that information beforehand.

A reasonable possibility for the identity of the quitter is Jon Misch. He mentioned during the premiere episode that his father has cancer and while he is worried about him, he said that his father gave his blessing to appear on the show. The scene felt a bit out of place within the context of the episode, so it seems possible that he may quit in order to be with his father, just like Jenna Morasca in Survivor: All Stars, who quit to be with her dying mother.

With this season having the "Blood vs. Water" twist, it is obvious that emotions are running high, and a contestant could quit after the departure of their loved one. Nadiya Anderson was voted out in the first episode, officially separating Natalie Anderson from her "Twinny." The pair do everything together so there is a small possibility that Natalie may quit in order to be with Nadiya, but given how tough the two of them are, it's probable that Natalie will stick it out.

Survivor: San Juan del Sur airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
