On September 26, Joe Mantegna, who plays David Rossi on Criminal Minds, posted an adorable behind-the-scenes photo featuring him and Jennifer Love Hewitt, who has joined the CBS procedural for season 10 as Kate Callahan.

The actor put the image up on his Twitter account and Hewitt is seen puckering her lips as she poses with Mantegna.

"Working with @TheReal_Jlh today. Yes I'm a lucky guy!" Mantegna tweeted.

Hewitt's character Kate Callahan was also brought in to fill the void left by the exit of Dr. Alex, who was portrayed by Jeanne Tripplehorn in the last chapter.

Thomas Gibson To Direct In Season 10 Of Criminal Minds

The first promo for season 10 was released earlier this month and it shone the spotlight on Hewitt as Kate. In the clip, the team is pursuing a murderer who likes to hack off his victims' limbs and collect them. Kate is seen halting a car and nabbing a man at gun point. Hotch (Thomas Gibson) is seen talking to Kate, letting her know that he thinks she would be a "valuable asset" for the team, to which she adds, "I am like a boy scout." There is also a funny bit at the end of the clip, when she is seen asking David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) if they arrest the perpetrator could she do the honors, to which he says, "You might have to flirt for it."

Recently, Erica Messer, the executive producer of the CBS series, spoke about Hewitt's character and gave away a bit about her background too.

"Kate is smart, charming, and wise for her years," Messer said. "Her background is criminal psychology, and her passion comes from wanting to make the world a safe place. She's had a lot of personal loss that makes her a patriot and a nurturing figure to those in her personal and work families."

The second and final part of the finale, Demons, aired on Wednesday, May 14 on CBS at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Season 10 will premiere on CBS on October 1.
