Grammy winning artist Lorde has released her first single from The Hunger Games: Mockingjay album that she is curating and it holds the tone that the movie is so far trying to emit through its marketing.

Titled "Yellow Flicker Beat," Lorde's first single, and her first new song since the release of Pure Heroin, is among the songs that the artist will have on her album. She has been mum on what others artists will be featured in the album alongside her own song.

Paul Epworth wrote and produced the song and it keeps the darker tone that the marketing so far for the latest Hunger Games movie, which has been emitted through a host of viral teaser trailers and one full trailer that shows the war and destruction that is headed for the next movie.

The release comes after a week of Lorde teasing the song on her Instagram account where she posted song lyrics and photos all week prior to the song's release.

Mockingjay: Part 1 follows Katniss as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.

The film is directed by Francis Lawrence from a script by Danny Strong. The film stars Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Jena Malone, Donald Sutherland, Jeffrey Wright, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Tucci and Sam Claflin. It also introduces Julianne Moore as President Coin.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 will be released in theaters on November 21.
