Bones stars David Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel recently sat down to discuss the shocking death of one of the show's main characters.

Dead 'Bones' Character Manages To Still Help Team With Case 'From The Grave'

Dr. Lance Sweets (John Francis Daley) met his untimely end in the Season 10 premiere of Bones, sending shockwaves throughout the viewing audience, and of course, Booth (Boreanaz) and Brennan (Deschanel). Heading into Episode 2, Booth and Brennan will be ready to take the conspiracy case head on.

"Anytime you lose a main character I think it's very shocking," Boreanaz says in a new sneak preview, with Deschanel adding, "You'll see in the second episode how we deal with his loss and how we get to the bottom of the conspiracy theory and honor him by putting an end to it all."

'Bones' 200th Episode Set To Be 'A Day In The Life' Of Booth, Brennan & More Characters

The death of Sweets will definitely have a huge impact on Booth, who considered Sweets to be one of his closest male friends.

"Which kind of puts Booth's character into a bit of a high tailspin 'cause he's kind of been his other male confident partner in the series and it changes things definitely," Boreanaz reveals.

"And that's a huge paradigm shift for him as a character to not trust anymore and to have this loss on top of it it's just too much for him," Deschanel notes. "He kind of breaks and wants to take revenge."

The sneak peek clip shows Booth looking like he's about to take vengeance and possibly kill, causing an argument between him and Brennan.

"Bones is there to really say you can't do what you're doing here. it leads booth to a pretty destructive place," Boreanaz teases.

Bones Season 10 airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
