Ryan Lochte Olympic 2012: When, Where to Watch Online Live Stream of 4x200M Relay
Ryan Lochte came into the 2012 Olympics and was immediately seen as Michael Phelp's top rival in swimming - and for good reason.
The swimmer beat Phelps in the 400-meter individual medley race, taking the gold 4:05.18 relay. Phelps, who has won a gold in the same event twice before, came in fourth place. He then won the silver medal at the men's 4x100-meter freestyle finals.
The Florida resident also performed pretty well at the 2004 and the 2008 Olympic Games
He went five for five at the 2011 Worlds and broke the 200-meter IM world record along the way. He also broke six world records at the Beijing games.
"I know this is my time. I'm just going out there and having fun and doing what I do best: racing," Lochte told British TV. "Right after Beijing, I had a four-year plan for getting here to London. I thought I could go a lot faster. I knew I could, just because of the training I've done. That's why I knew this was going to be my year."
Lochte will swim four individual events at this year's Olympics and Phelps needs to watch out regards who he has next to him in the water.
